National Healthcare Decision Day

It is National Healthcare Decision Day! Today is the day to review your Healthcare Power of Attorney document and make sure it still reflects your wishes regarding end of life decisions. If you don’t have a POA, today might just be a good day to schedule an appointment with an estate planning attorney to begin that process. You have the right to have procedures and interventions withheld or withdrawn to allow you to die with dignity. To exercise this right, however, you need to explicitly state your wishes in a legally binding document.
